AD: This post is part of a paid partnership with Desenio.
As you all know Jake and I kicked off 2021 in Nashville getting our new Airbnb Femme House in Nashville ready to welcome guests! I have been having so much fun styling this house and have been very intentional with all of my decor decisions. That includes the artwork!
I knew I wanted to design a unique gallery wall that would hang over the living room couch so I partnered with Desenio for this fun project, and I’m so excited with how it turned out!
Choosing Prints For Femme House Nashville
I wanted this gallery wall to be a combination of prints that included feminine line art, uplifting and inspiring quotes, along with a touch of boho to keep consistent with the style throughout the house. I had no problem finding what I was envisioning with Desenio because they have such a large variety of prints that are easy to sort through.
Things I considered as I was selecting the artwork and frames were the color of the wood floors and the area rug that I had already selected. I found that oak frames that Desenio offers best paired with the hardwood floors. I chose to keep the frames consistent throughout the gallery wall rather than mix and match colors and finishes because I knew I was going to be choosing prints that were varying in color and style. I felt that if I mixed both frames and art styles it might look too busy. Since the Moroccan area rug that I choose was already bringing a lot of color into the space I decided that a more neutral pallet with soft hints of pink for the gallery wall made more sense.
I ended up choosing pieces that varied in texture, and purposefully chose so that the white boarders varied in size to add dimension to the overall finished look.
Something to note, If you don’t feel confident in creating your own gallery wall, Desenio takes all the work off your plate by having several pre-designed gallery wall options for you to choose from. Although I didn’t use their pre-designed gallery options, I did find their gallery wall templates super helpful! I was easily able to visualize the right size prints to order for the size of my wall. It was also very helpful because Desenio shares how far apart you should be spacing the frames when hanging them!
I truly love how this gallery wall turned out! My two favorite prints ended up being the Three Faces Line art print and the “What’s stopping you?” print. I especially love this subtle, yet not so subtle reminder to take action on your dreams! Hopefully our future Femme House Nashville guests love these prints as much as I do.
