In my search for a boutique property that was near downtown Whitefish I stumbled upon the cutest Bed & Breakfast, The Good Medicine Lodge. Once I flipped through the photos I knew I had to check into this lodge and I’m so glad that I did! When planning for my visit to Glacier National Park I knew I wanted to stay in Whitefish, Montana. This town is located only 45 min away from Glacier National Park and it’s brimming with a diverse selection of charming local eateries!
The Good Medicine Lodge is perfectly located. It’s Just down the road from downtown whitefish so that you are close enough to all of the amazing eateries but just far enough removed that you feel like you are having a more local stay! As soon as you walk in you will get all the cozy cabin feels! They have a beautiful open front room that features a charming blue fire place.
I was welcomed with a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres which are available daily in the dining area for the guests to enjoy around 3-5! My most favorite part of the guest experience was the homemade cookies that were always out and available for guests to enjoy. I’m sure that anyone who has stayed at the Good Medicine Lodge would agree that the snickerdoodles and the sea salt chocolate chip cookies are AMAZING!
As I wandered around the property I fell in love with all of the rustic decor that adorned each corner and wall of this Bed & Breakfast. You could tell that so much attention to detail went into choosing each piece so that the Good Medicine Lodge feel warm and homey for all it’s guest to enjoy.
The Good Medicine Lodge has nine rooms available. Each room is unique, some feature balconies, others in room fire places. Ryan and Sara the current owners, so graciously hosted myself and @champagneflight in their Grand Northern Room. This room has a king suite and a bedroom with two twin sized beds, along with two bathrooms! The art selection was influenced by Native American culture.
I loved that this Bed & Breakfast had a hot tub on their gorgeous property! This was so perfect to come back to after a long day of hiking in Glacier National Park. Their grounds have picturesque views of the mountains so on our second night in town we brought our dinner back to enjoy outside on their patio table.
I genuinely looked forward to seeing what was for breakfast each morning! The menu changed daily with breakfast items such as lemon curd dutch babies, fresh fruit crapes, and spanish style breakfast burritos. In addition to the delicious rotating menu items the owner Ryan would also make the most amazing homemade granola and sour dough English muffins that paired perfectly with local huckleberry jam!
After staying at the Good Medicine Lodge I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast to any traveler who enjoys boutique stays, and who is in search of a rustic cabin vibe for their Montana getaway!
